The
Cuban artist Idilio Lopez Arnaud's work is inspired by nature. The air,
the sea and the earth are resources for his imagination. Birds of the
coastal regions of Cuba where he lives are references for his stories
in which love, fear, hope and misunderstanding are some important key
words.
Idilio works in many different mediums, whatever is available to him; ceramics, painting, printmaking, papermaking, etc.... For him art is not only about seeing and reproducing, but making art asks for more. "It's about observing and telling of a continuous story from the inside out and goes beyond any given moment".
