His talents as a comic book illustrator are evident in both his illustrative painting style and narrative imagery. Each of Popok's paintings condense a whole comic strip into individual action packed canvases. One very large canvas is filled with a ship of fools tossing about on a dark stormy sea, this work represents the lunacy of the current political situation with the country adrift in rough waters while the helm is manned by fools and thieves.
